Calculation of Value and GST for Imported Goods
Value of Imported Goods (for GST purpose)= Value of Goods + Customs duty + Excise duty
= 800 + 100 + 100
= 1,000
Note :
Value of Goods = Cost of Goods + Insurance + Freight + all other charges incurred to bring the goods into Malaysia
GST on Value of Imported Goods= 6% on Value of Imported Goods
= 6% x 1,000
= 60
