Calculation of Value and GST for Imported Goods

Post by Admin on Thu Feb 05, 2015 11:02 pm

Calculation of Value and GST for Imported Goods

Value of Imported Goods (for GST purpose) = Value of Goods + Customs duty + Excise duty
= 800 + 100 + 100
= 1,000

Note :
Value of Goods = Cost of Goods + Insurance + Freight + all other charges incurred to bring the goods into Malaysia

GST on Value of Imported Goods = 6% on Value of Imported Goods
= 6% x 1,000
= 60
